U.S. And Russia Have Major Differences Over Ukraine Issue

In Geneva, Switzerland, on Monday (10th), U.S. and Russian officials met to try to resolve the Ukraine issue. After the meeting, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister pointed out that the United States and Russia have major differences on relevant issues. In fact, earlier than the eve of the meeting, NATO had indicated that Ukraine had the freedom to join NATO, and Russia could not prevent it. But for Russia, if Ukraine joins NATO, NATO would have reason to deploy missiles there in order to defend Ukraine, which is a major security threat to Russia. Now we are concerned about the development of the situation and the impact of the incident on the economy of the euro area.
