Three Major Central Banks To Discuss Interest Rates This Week

The main central banks to discuss interest rates this week are the RBA on Tuesday, the Bank of England and the European Central Bank on Thursday. Australia has recently released a series of good economic figures, including low unemployment, strong retail sales and housing market numbers, and high inflation (3.5% annual growth). The market is now concerned about whether the RBA will give the green light this week to raise interest rates this year. The market gave the Bank of England a 90% chance of raising interest rates by 25 basis points this week, and the market is concerned about whether the expectation will be implemented. As for the ECB's interest rate meeting is also critical. If the ECB maintains its accommodative rhetoric, which will be in sharp contrast to the Fed, which can be quite detrimental to the euro. Therefore, the above-mentioned three central bank interest rate meetings this week have their own points of concern.
