Finland announced its membership in NATO last Thursday

Last Thursday (12th) the President and Prime Minister of Finland officially announced that Finland would join NATO. It is understood that the Finnish parliament will debate the event today (16th), and it will soon have a chance to be passed on the same day. Finland will then formally submit its application to NATO. It is understood that most of the 200 members of the Finnish Parliament support the relevant decision, so it is believed that the debate will not take a long time and the chance of passing it is quite high. It is now known that NATO also welcomes Finland's participation. The focus now is on how Russia will react once Finland joins NATO, and whether it will further plunge an already chaotic Europe into chaos.
