Due to the Russian-Ukrainian war, a food crisis began in Europe

Talas, the first deputy minister of the Ministry of Agriculture of Ukraine, said that due to the crisis in Russia and Ukraine, the total sown area in Ukraine this year has decreased by about 25%. As for this year's cereal harvest, it will be around 48.5 million tonnes, down 44 percent from last year's around 86 million tonnes. Among them, the wheat harvest will be around 17 million to 20 million tons. The remaining grains available for export this year are about 30 million tons. Ukraine has traditionally been Europe's breadbasket, and the remarks added to the market's worries about rising food prices in Europe and further exacerbating the global food crisis.
